Scheduling
We are happy to offer library tours and classroom instruction sessions for school classes desiring to use the UWM Libraries for research purposes. To schedule a visit to the library, complete our K-12 & Community Visits Request Form.
Please have several possible dates in mind and submit your request at least two weeks in advance. We can accommodate groups of up to 40 students at one time in our computer lab classroom.
Prepare for Your Visit
Library research guides are often used during information literacy sessions. Please check out the Visiting Students guide and the course/subject tab most relevant to the visit.
Library Location
The Golda Meir Library is on the UW-Milwaukee campus. The library is located at: 2311 East Hartford Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53211. You can obtain customized driving directions via Google Maps. A campus map highlighting the library is also available.

Parking
Visitor parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in a restricted area located in the Union Garage.
Printers and Scanning
Printers and scanners are available in the library.
Library Hours
Library hours change for each part of the academic year, e.g. fall semester, UWinteriM. See the Library Hours page.
The library is open for studying and checking out books during the main entrance hours. Special areas of the library have different hours.
Security
As in any large public building, students should not leave their personal belongings unattended. Students visiting the library in the evening may request an escort on campus by using the Public Safety telephone in the lower level, west wing.
