Distraction Free Room

The UWM Libraries Distraction Free Room is available in the Media and Reserve Services area, lower level, west wing, room WB48.  The room is intended for accessibility testing, accessible studying, and recording. The Distraction Free Room is not available as a group study room.  Use of the Distraction Free Room is for educational purposes only.

The room is available to those who are eligible to check out materials from Media and Reserve Services. (i.e. valid UWM students, faculty and staff, and UW-System borrowers.) You must present your valid ID/borrowing card when using the room. The room may be reserved or used on a walk-in basis for two (2) hours at a time if not reserved by anyone in advance.

Equipment available in the room includes a wall mounted table, and Table Lamp.

The room can be used on a walk-in basis or by calling 414-229-4673 or through the **online booking form at https://uwm.edu/libraries/forms/distraction-free-room/

**Note online requests are ONLY monitored Monday-Friday (8-4) only.

*** Note that a user that is more than 15 minutes late forfeits their reservation if others are waiting.**

Users are responsible for the condition of the room and equipment. As with all library resources, Distraction Free Room users must comply with the UWM Libraries User Rights and Responsibilities.

Users should be considerate of others studying in areas adjacent to the Distraction Free Room and maintain a reasonable volume level. Food and beverages are NOT permitted in the Distraction Free Room. Media and Reserve Services retains the right to alter the schedule, supersede availability or close the room without notice.
