Digital Pedagogy Demonstration: Gigapixel for Historical Methods

Gigapixel is simple tool to enable a deep dive into a single image or object by mapping and tagging elements of the image itself. In Part One of this two-part workshop, Jasmine Alinder will discuss using Gigapixel for the final assignment in her graduate Historical Methods class (History 715).

In Part Two on Wed. Sept. 27 at 4 p.m., Ann Hanlon (UWM Libraries Digital Collections and DH Lab) will provide an introduction to the “how-to” of Gigapixel, including a demonstration of how Alinder’s class used the tool, and a step-by-step to begin your own test project.
