A collection of books recently written or edited by UWM faculty and staff–and available to browse or check out–is prominently displayed in the central area of the UWM Libraries’ Daniel M. Soref Learning Commons, just steps away from the Grind and accompanied by comfortable seating.
The UWM Authors Browsing Collection offers selected titles published from 2011 to the present. The browsing collection supplements a more complete, but non-circulating collection of works by UWM authors held in Special Collections.
“We are very excited to feature this important collection of UWM’s research output, and to do so in a place that invites casual as well as intense engagement with the books,” says Michael Doylen, Associate Vice Provost and Director of Libraries.
“The UWM Authors Browsing Collection is our way of shining a light on some of the world-class research being conducted at UWM,” he says.
The Libraries and the Graduate School celebrate the most recent UWM authors at a biennial reception.
