UWM Libraries This Summer: What You Need to Know

As UWM transitions into summer session, the Libraries want to provide updated information about our on-site services and hours that will take effect on June 1, 2021.

At the Golda Meir Library, we are expanding access beyond the Daniel M. Soref Learning Commons to include all general collections. Students, faculty and staff are now welcome to browse the shelves and retrieve their own items. Library staff will continue to retrieve items, as requested. Open study areas, carrels, two group study rooms, the Scriptorium, and classroom A in the Learning Commons will also be open for study.

All service points–the American Geographical Society Library, Archives, Special Collections, Media & Reserve Services, and the Research Help Desk–will have regularly scheduled hours.

The branch libraries at Washington County and Waukesha have been fully open to the UWM community since fall 2020 and will continue in that mode.

All libraries remain closed to the general public. UWM health and safety policies still require unvaccinated people inside buildings to wear masks. Please note that UWM sets its own policies independently of our local municipalities. The Libraries will continue to update its own policies in alignment with UWM.

Summer open hours can be found here.
