Libraries Introduce Community Borrowing Program

On January 1, 2020, the UWM Libraries will launch a new community borrowing program that will replace the Friends of the UWM Golda Meir Library membership program.

To borrow books and other items, community members who are not affiliated with UWM will pay an annual fee of $50 directly to the UWM Libraries. The Friends membership program and the current array of membership levels will be discontinued. Friends members who joined or renewed in 2019 will receive full benefits until their membership ends.

More information about the community borrowing program is available on the UWM Libraries website at https://wwwdev.uwm.edu/libraries-backup/circ/non-uwm-borrowers/

Individuals who joined the Friends to benefit the UWM Libraries will find a variety of giving options at https://wwwdev.uwm.edu/give/libraries-backup/. A gift to the UWM Libraries Fund provides unrestricted support for continuing needs and special projects.

If you have questions about your Friends membership, or any of these changes, please contact Katrina Kozar, program assistant, at (414) 229-6202 or kozar@uwm.edu.
