New Streaming Resources Available on Libraries Website

The UWM Libraries have recently acquired access to three streaming resources, available via the Libraries website: Docuseek2, LGBT Studies in Video, and the PBS Video Collection.

The Docuseek2 Complete Collection (Second Edition) will contain 1800 exclusive documentaries, upon completion in 2020. This rich selection of issues-based documentary film comes from leading film producers and distributors, including Bullfrog Films, Icarus Films, the BBC, the National Film Board of Canada, CBC, Television Trust for the Environment, MediaStorm, Terra Nova Films, KimStim, and Scorpion TV, and other independent filmmakers.

LGBT Studies in Video is a cinematic survey of the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people as well as the cultural and political evolution of the LGBT community. This first-of-its-kind collection features award-winning documentaries, interviews, archival footage, and select feature films exploring LGBT history, gay culture and subcultures, civil rights, marriage equality, LGBT families, AIDS, transgender issues, religious perspectives on homosexuality, global comparative experiences, and other topics.

The PBS Video Collection is now in its third edition and contains nearly 600 titles, including NOVA, Nature, the American Experience, and Frontline.
