Center for Research on International Economics

The Center for Research on International Economics (CRIE) is a research and policy center with a focus on sustainable and equitable economic systems.

Faculty members in UWM's Economics Department are highly-ranked in the field of international economics, and the discipline is a strong focus within the academic programming. CRIE builds on this expertise by providing resources for anyone on-campus or off wishing to broaden their understanding of economic issues in the US and in other countries. In an increasingly inter-connected global society, the interrelationships between economic systems is a vital topic.

CRIE generates working papers and sponsors speakers on topics such as exchange rates, financial crisis, inequality, foreign investments, and more.

CRIE faculty members work closely with other programs that have an international focus such as Global Studies.
