I am enrolled member of the Lumbee Nation. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from UWM in May 1998 with an Interdisciplinary major in American Indian Studies. The American Indian Student Services (AISS) is not like other advising services. AISS is like a home away from home. Being a former student this was vital to me. Vital in the sense that the support from AISS staff encouraged me to complete my degree. While attending UWM it was important to see American Indian students before and those after me graduate from college. Therefore, while attending college, I too tried to be a good role model. I want American Indians to succeed in life and college can be used as a tool to achieve that higher success. I am known for my "banana pudding, dancing, and making photocopies of everything". I am also here for you.
