Podcasting the Past: An Evening with Ben Franklin’s World

April 30, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

History is often referred to as a “book-based discipline.” But an exciting cohort of audio story tellers is also doing the work of history through podcasting. Join WUWM, Wisconsin’s NPR, and UWM’s Center for 21st Century Studies for an evening of audio history with Liz Covart, the host of the widely-popular podcast on the American Revolution, “Ben Franklin’s World.” In a conversation with WUWM Lake Effect host Mitch Teich, Covart will discuss how podcasting is helping a new generation of history buffs learn about the Founding Fathers.

Doors open at 5:30 pm, event begins at 6 pm. The event is free and open to the public and will be held in the Golda Meir Conference Center on the fourth floor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Golda Meir Library.
