Conservation & Environmental Science and Geography – Virtual Welcome for Admitted Students

March 11 @ 2:15 pm - 3:00 pm

New Conservation & Environmental Science majors and Geography majors admitted for the Fall 2021 term are invited to learn more about the program and meet some of our faculty!

You’ll learn about our academic programs and their requirements, field work and other experiential learning such as internships, and student research opportunities. You’ll also leave with information about the next steps to get ready for orientation and registration if you’ve been admitted already.

Join us and learn how UWM’s Conservation & Environmental Science and Geography programs prepare students for post-college life. The agenda includes:

  • Academic requirements
  • Available focus areas in each area such as water resources or GIS
  • Experiential learning through internships and field work
  • Difference between bachelor of art and bachelor of science options
  • Undergraduate student research opportunities
  • Next steps needed before orientation
  • Open Q&A
