Research
UWM is one of just two public research universities in the State of Wisconsin. We also hold Carnegie R1 status—one of only 130 universities nationwide. It is a mark of excellence for our research productivity. The College of Letters & Science is the research powerhouse of the campus. Despite being only one of 14 schools and colleges at UWM, the College of Letters & Science accounts for 64% of the research grants and activity on campus.
