Edgar Gonzalez

Undergraduate LCTL Researcher

Working at the Language Resource Center has given me many experiences that have become invaluable to me and to my future careers, but I think the most important experience was getting to know the amount of work an educator has to put in for their students. Creating Japanese quizzes, grammar videos, and helping out with miscellaneous language-related tasks gave me more confidence with my own Japanese skills; and with that, a new-found appreciation for educators. For that alone, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work as a Japanese Undergraduate Researcher. If it wasn’t for this opportunity, I feel that I wouldn’t have been able to acquire the Japanese skills I have now, but most importantly, I wouldn’t have been able to grow as a person. So, I would like to personally thank Lackey-sensei and all LRC staff for giving me the chance to gain such a unique experience!
