Ewurama Okine presented The State of Language and Translation in Ghana: A 21st Century Gold Mine at the Ninth Biennial Conference of the American Translation and Interpreting Studies Association in Milwaukee, WI, on March 29-April 1, 2018.
This paper is a discussion of the current state of language and translation in the seven pillars of the society: family, religion, governance, business, education, media, arts and culture. The highlight of this study is multilingualism, a resource for empowering individuals and harnessing development in Ghana and in Africa as a whole.
