This workshop summarizes research on proficiency-based instruction and discusses the many ways that language teachers can use ACTFL-based tools (e.g., Can-Do Statements, Thematic Units, and Integrated Performance Assessments) to (1) help increase their students’ proficiency, (2) incorporate more authentic resources on cultural topics, and (3) save time on lesson planning and grading.
