On August 30, 2024, UWM’s language and culture programs hosted the World Language Café event as part of Fall Welcome Week. Incoming students were able to meet students, faculty and teaching staff from UWM’s language and culture programs including Arabic, Chinese, Classics, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Jewish Studies, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, American Sign Language, Comparative Literature, Global Studies, and Translation and Interpreting Studies. The program was a wonderful opportunity for students to explore a variety of academic opportunities to develop new language skills and engage in global education on campus.
