In partnership with the Lynden Sculpture Garden, the Institute of World Affairs co-hosted a visit by Sudanese artist Ammar Khalifa in early October. During a week of outreach activities with Milwaukee-based artists, campus and community members, and MPS high school students, Ammar participated in wide-ranging conversations and exchanges and laid the groundwork for future collaborations. In late November, he will also share his journey and practice as a visual artist with UWM students in an online Art Survey course. More information about his background and his residency at Lynden is available at https://www.lyndensculpturegarden.org/residency/ammar-khalifa-ammarica.
