The HRPP is the home of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the protection of human subjects. The IRB reviews human subject research studies under the jurisdiction of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. The mission of the IRB is to ensure the adequacy of the research plan, to minimize risks and to maximize the potential for benefit for human subjects who participate in research.<\/p>\n

All submissions (new studies, amendments, continuing reviews, and determination forms) are reviewed in the order in which they were received. IRB office reviews are currently taking approximately 3 weeks (14-17 business days)<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0from the date of submission.
