Adam Hudson

nonprofit_profile_hudson_aAdam developed and launched NonProf-IT in the fall of 2014 and has been leading teams of students through this experiential learning program since inception. Adam teaches front end development courses at the School of Information Studies (SOIS). He earned a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, his MLIS from UWM, and a Specialization in Web Development from the University of Southern California. In his spare time he enjoys traveling as much as possible and spending time with his wife and 2 kids.

 

Giamo Rivera

Giamo RiveraGiamo is the graduate project assistant for NonProf-IT as of 2019. He is pursuing his Master’s Degree in the Information Science and Technology program and has over three years of IT Support Experience and minor IT Project Management Experience.

For his future goals he want’s to transition to development related roles and Project Leadership roles. He enjoy’s diversifying his skill-set in Technology and applying them to his personal and professional activities.

Brittany is currently a senior studying Information Science and Technology and she will be graduating May 2021. This is her first semester with Nonprof-IT and she looks forward to the opportunity to work with the non-profit clients and improve her technical and communication skills. Emmaline Bateman

Emmaline BatemanEmmaline Bateman is a senior majoring in Information Science Technology (IST). This is her second semester in IST, but her 4th semester at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Chloe Torres is a senior majoring in Information Science Technology. This will be her last semester as an undergraduate. Chloe is also currently serving in the United States Army. Giovanni is a Junior student majoring in Information Science and Technology at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a new intern of NonProf-IT and is looking forward to gaining experience in the work environment of IT. My name is Haneen Mahmoud, I am currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and my intended graduation date is in May of 2022. I am studying Information Science and Technology with a healthcare informatics certificate. Jasmine Mendez

Jasmine Mendez is a freshman majoring in Information Science and Technology. She is also pursuing a Web Development Certificate in hopes of being a Web Developer in the future. This is her first semester in Nonprof-IT and in which she hopes to be able to help the community and gain real-world experience. Jasmine has had tech experience before, in her time interning at General Mitchell International Airport at the IT Department and was able to gain vital knowledge about Networking. She also interned at Ronald Reagan high school while she was attending there to help students with chromebook repairs. It was through these two experiences that she began to realize that she found her interests. Although she loved coding websites she also enjoyed learning about various other aspects of technology. This is why she chose Information Science and Technology as her major and decided to become a part of Nonprof-IT. Gonzalo Nieto Jr is a senior at UWM majoring in Information Science and Technology. Brandon is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee studying Information Technology Management and Computer Science. This is his second year working with Nonprof-IT. Michael Chang

Michael is an Army veteran that just returned to college in 2019. He is majoring in Information Science and Technology at UW – Milwaukee and is expected to graduate December 2021. Jerry Herr

Jerry is majoring in Information Science with an interest in Digital Arts Certificate. This will be his last year as an undergraduate, with expected graduation date December of 2020. This will be his third consecutive semester participating with Nonprof-IT and honored to be working with Milwaukee Tennis & Education Foundation. He will be taking on the role as team lead for the project and reprising his role previously from his last projects as part of the web design team as well. He currently works part time as a Desktop Support student for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He plans on specializing within the field of security and networking. He also is an SOIS ambassador, helping lead a team of high school students connect and network with IT leaders. Over the summer he finished up his internship with American Transmission Company, focusing mainly on their Life Cycle project, and other technical assistance where needed. When not involved in academics he enjoys keeping a tab on sporting competitions, spending time with family, and giving back to the community.

Nazneen is a senior majoring in Information Science and Technology at UW-Milwaukee and will be graduating in December 2020. Originally Majoring in Communication Design and Illustration at MIAD, Kate transferred to UWM in 2017 and began pursuing her aspirations in project management within the Information Science and Technology Major. Currently acting Supervisor at UWM TechRepair, Kate is excited to apply and develop her skills during her work with NonprofIT. Bailly Jamroz

Bailly is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology. She will be working with Revitalize Racine this semester, aiding in website development.  Bailly earned her Associate’s degree in IT in 2015 from Redlands Community College, and has some experience in Web Development, assisting in developing an interactive user manual for AAR Corporation out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In her free time, she likes to shoot 35mm film photography, play video games, and spend time with friends, family, and especially with her dog, Eric. Nabeel Khan

Nabeel Khan is a Junior student in the school of Information Science and Technology (SOIS) at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Nabeel has three more semesters remaining until graduation for a bachelor’s in information science and Technology (BIST). During this semester of Fall 2020, he is working in the NonprofIT internship provided by SOIS, where he is working on web development. Nabeel enjoys learning about many aspects of IT whether it is Database Querying, Computer Networking, Information Security, or Web Development. Overall Nabeel, is determined to work in the area he ends up being most knowledgeable by the end of graduation. Although Nabeel mainly enjoys programming in Python, computer networking, and information security, Nabeel also enjoys web development as web development affects businesses and the general public. Besides studies, Nabeel’s enjoys spending time in nature, photography, cooking, exercising, spending time with family and friends, and sometimes taking time to himself to reflect on how he can become a better person during his free time.

Austin Danielewicz

Austin is a Sophmore at UWM in his fourth semester and is majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Austin is from Mokena IL, where he graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School and obtained his Eagle Scout rank with Silver Palm with Boy Scout Troop 40. This is his second semester participating in Nonprof-IT with his first being the development of the Milwaukee Joint Human Trafficking Task Force. Outside of Academics, Austin enjoys racing Go Karts and playing Ultimate Frisbee with Blackcat at UWM.

Joseph Kiesau

Joseph is a junior at UWM. This will be his second time working with NonprofIT. He worked with a social media project in my spring 2019 semester. He played college baseball my freshman year at Rock Valley College in Rockford Illinois, while majoring in nursing. When he transferred over to Milwaukee he switched degrees from nursing to IST. He is interested in what the major had to offer involving the use of technology and the careers you can go into with the degree. He wants to learn more about IST and gain more experience within it. Enrique is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he is currently majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Business. My name is Tha and I’m from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I’m a fulltime student at UW-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science & Technology. I am currently a Senior and this is my first semester working with Nonprof-IT. I am excited to apply my skills while working with Milwaukee Children’s Choir. Milwaukee Children’s Choir is a professional organization that provides choral music education & performance experiences that encourage all ages to be creative, build confidence, listen and support each other, and set goals and achieve them. The goal with Milwaukee children’s Choir is to record their IT infrastructure, recycle their old computers, and to do some tech assessment of their processes. I hopes to gain real-world experience after I completed this project with Milwaukee Children’s Choir. My goal is to graduate in Fall and hopefully find a job in database administration or data analysis because I like to at numbers and interpret its meaning. The thing I like most about myself is that I am an active person. I like to hunt and fish for fun. I play soccer and I enjoy watching American football. I am a Packers fan.

Cevin Stevenson is working towards his BS in Information Science and Technology. He will be graduating after Spring 2020 semester ends. Soon after Cevin will be starting is Master’s program in INFOST next Fall and has interest in Management and Cyber Security. Lauren is a Senior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee studying Human Resource Management. She is currently a Human Resource Assistant for University Housing at UWM, President of the student organization Love Your Melon and Secretary for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This is her first semester working with NonProf-IT and is eager to expand her knowledge of website design and social media campaigns. Through Love Your Melon, Lauren acts as an independent contractor under the Love Your Melon Fund 501(c)(3). Destinie is a senior Information Science & Technology (IST) major at UWM.  In addition, she holds a Graphic Design Degree in Creative Arts, Design & Media. Kue is a senior student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and majoring in Information Science and Technology. Wisconsin never felt like home to him as he was originally from Colorado, but as he engaged with the community, businesses, faculty and those around him throughout his years in UWM. He fell in love. He’s currently on his path to become an entrepreneur and start a business in Wisconsin, but he truly understands that before you lead a brigade, you must first learn how to listen and follow. With a strong background in Project Management he intends to use that to work with as much clients as possible because every client will always be different, but he also understands that every single one of them is crucially important to his endeavors.
