Adam Hudson

nonprofit_profile_hudson_aAdam developed and launched NonProf-IT in the fall of 2014 and has been leading teams of students through this experiential learning program since inception. Adam teaches front end development courses at the School of Information Studies (SOIS). He earned a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, his MLIS from UWM, and a Specialization in Web Development from the University of Southern California. In his spare time he enjoys traveling as much as possible and spending time with his wife and 2 kids.

 

Giamo Rivera

Giamo RiveraGiamo is the graduate project assistant for NonProf-IT as of 2019. He is pursuing his Master’s Degree in the Information Science and Technology program and has over three years of IT Support Experience and minor IT Project Management Experience.

For his future goals he want’s to transition to development related roles and Project Leadership roles. He enjoy’s diversifying his skill-set in Technology and applying them to his personal and professional activities.

Austin Danielewicz

Austin is a Sophmore at UWM in his fourth semester and is majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Austin is from Mokena IL, where he graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School and obtained his Eagle Scout rank with Silver Palm with Boy Scout Troop 40. This is his second semester participating in Nonprof-IT with his first being the development of the Milwaukee Joint Human Trafficking Task Force. Outside of Academics, Austin enjoys racing Go Karts and playing Ultimate Frisbee with Blackcat at UWM.

 

Michael Luedtke

Michael is a Senior at UWM majoring in Information Science & Technology and minoring in Business. He is interested in doing freelance Web Design & Application Development. This is his first semester working with NonProf-IT and is really excited to assist local organizations and to gain more experience. In his free time, he enjoys art, music, and traveling.

 

Tanner Lidow

Tanner is currently a junior at UWM majoring in Information Science & Technology. Inside his major he is interested in web development and web design. He is thrilled to begin his first semester of being a Nonprof-IT intern working with Groundwork Milwaukee and Forward Careers. Sai Keerthana Chittajallu is currently a Sophomore at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology. Brycen is currently a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. Julianna Rattin

Juliana is a senior at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee majoring in Digital Arts and Culture with a minor in Design. This is her first semester in the Nonprof-IT program and is excited for the opportunity to grow and gain real world experience. Hayley Stumbris

Hayley Stumbris is a senior in the Design and Visual Communication program at UW-Milwaukee. This is her first semester in the nonprof-it program. She looks forward to working with nonprofit organizations while getting hands on experience with designing for IT. She is also excited to create new connections with professionals around Milwaukee. Jerry Herr

Jerry is majoring in Information Science with an interest in the Digital Arts Certificate. This will be his last year as an undergraduate, with expected graduation date December of 2020. This will be his second semester participating with Nonprof-IT and honored to be working with Bloom MKE, Inc. He will be reprising his role previously from his last project as part of the web design team. He currently works part time as a Desktop Support Supervisor for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He plans on specializing within the field of security and networking. He also is an SOIS ambassador, helping lead a team of high school students connect and network with IT leaders. When not involved in academics he enjoys keeping a tab on sporting competitions, spending time with family, and giving back to the community.

Joseph Kiesau

Joseph is a junior at UWM. This will be his second time working with NonprofIT. He worked with a social media project in my spring 2019 semester. He played college baseball my freshman year at Rock Valley College in Rockford Illinois, while majoring in nursing. When he transferred over to Milwaukee he switched degrees from nursing to IST. He is interested in what the major had to offer involving the use of technology and the careers you can go into with the degree. He wants to learn more about IST and gain more experience within it. Kate Keuster

Kate is a Junior at UWM, and this is her second year working with NonprofIT. Originally Majoring in Communication Design and Illustration at MIAD, Kate transferred to UWM in 2017 and began pursuing her aspirations in project management within the Information Science and Technology Major. Currently acting Supervisor at UWM TechRepair, Kate is excited to apply and develop her skills during her work with NonprofIT. She hopes to provide clients with a great product for their organization. In Kate’s free time she enjoys creating digital art, being outdoors, and playing video games.

 

Blake Tanner

Blake is a transfer student from MATC Majoring in Information Science and Technology and a Minor in Graphic Design. This will be his first year In Non-Prof-IT. He is excited and eager to work and learn to push his problem solving and communicative skills further in the IT field. Enrique is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he is currently majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Business. My name is Tha and I’m from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I’m a fulltime student at UW-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science & Technology. I am currently a Senior and this is my first semester working with Nonprof-IT. I am excited to apply my skills while working with Milwaukee Children’s Choir. Milwaukee Children’s Choir is a professional organization that provides choral music education & performance experiences that encourage all ages to be creative, build confidence, listen and support each other, and set goals and achieve them. The goal with Milwaukee children’s Choir is to record their IT infrastructure, recycle their old computers, and to do some tech assessment of their processes. I hopes to gain real-world experience after I completed this project with Milwaukee Children’s Choir. My goal is to graduate in Fall and hopefully find a job in database administration or data analysis because I like to at numbers and interpret its meaning. The thing I like most about myself is that I am an active person. I like to hunt and fish for fun. I play soccer and I enjoy watching American football. I am a Packers fan.

Cevin Stevenson is working towards his BS in Information Science and Technology. He will be graduating after Spring 2020 semester ends. Soon after Cevin will be starting is Master’s program in INFOST next Fall and has interest in Management and Cyber Security. In the future he hopes to have a management role in one of the fields of interest mentioned. Lauren is a Senior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee studying Human Resource Management. She is currently a Human Resource Assistant for University Housing at UWM, President of the student organization Love Your Melon and Secretary for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This is her first semester working with NonProf-IT and is eager to expand her knowledge of website design and social media campaigns. Through Love Your Melon, Lauren acts as an independent contractor under the Love Your Melon Fund 501(c)(3). Hailey is currently a Sophomore at University Wisconsin- Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology. She is considering a minor in business. This past summer she worked as an Orientation Leader for the University’s New Student programs. Currently Hailey is a resident assistant for University Housing. David Ruiz

David is currently a Senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science & Technology. He is excited to be part of the Nonprof-IT program, as it is his third time in the program. Being involved in this program has greatly benefitted him by gaining real world experience with clients and project management skills. Emily is a senior at UWM pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Technology. This is her first semester in Nonprof-IT, and she is excited to learn more about the process of website design and development. She has worked at UWM as an undergraduate research assistant doing qualitative data analysis. Her career interests include data analysis, UX design, and library science. Kue Yang

Kue is a senior student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and majoring in Information Science and Technology. Wisconsin never felt like home to him as he was originally from Colorado, but as he engaged with the community, businesses, faculty and those around him throughout his years in UWM. He fell in love. He’s currently on his path to become an entrepreneur and start a business in Wisconsin, but he truly understands that before you lead a brigade, you must first learn how to listen and follow. With a strong background in Project Management he intends to use that to work with as much clients as possible because every client will always be different, but he also understands that every single one of them is crucially important to his endeavors. Clients are what drives businesses to success and it’s up to businesses to provide the best qualitative product that meets their every need.

Joana is a Sophomore in the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee majoring in Information Science & Technology. She is very thrilled to be part of the Nonprof-IT program, as it is her first semester in the program. Katherine Kuester

Kate is a Junior at UWM, and this is her first year working with Non-profIT. Originally Majoring in Communication Design and Illustration at MIAD, Kate transferred to UWM in 2017 and began pursuing her aspirations in project management within the Information Science and Technology Major. Currently acting Supervisor at UWM TechRepair, Kate is excited to apply and develop her skills during her work with Non-profIT. Jerry is majoring in Information Science and has been in the program for three years. This will be his first semester participating with Non-profit IT and proud to be working with Veterans for Diversity, Inc. He currently works as a desktop support for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and has plans on specializing within the field of security and networking. Claudia Martinez is a senior, majoring in journalism with an emphasis in advertising, minoring in women’s and gender studies and earning a certificate in digital arts and culture. Claudia currently the social media/communications intern at Bader Philanthropies, a nonprofit located on the north side of Milwaukee. Krabok Lor

Krabok is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, pursuing a degree in Information Science and Technology. Muhammad Azam

Ali is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science & Technology. Within the major his concentrated area is Information Securities. Ali has experience with both frontend and backend programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, PHP, HTML and CSS. He’s currently designing a real time tracking website to assist customers in assessing in-store product availability and services for Dollar Bazaar (family owned store). Emily is majoring in Information Science and Technology and minoring in Psychology with a Digital Arts Certificate with an expected graduation of December 2019. She is working with Community Association for her third semester in the Nonprof-IT internship. Her interest lies in UX/UI design and front end web development. Matthew is a senior at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. He works part time as a Programmer Analyst Intern at Fidelity Information Services (FIS). Austin is a freshman at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in his second semester and is majoring in Information Science and Technology with a possible minor in business. Prior to college at UWM, Austin graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School with membership in their National Honor Society chapter. Austin also obtained the rank of Eagle Scout with Silver Palm with Boy Scout troop 40 in Mokena IL. Outside of academics, Austin enjoys playing video games, learning as well as playing guitar, and racing at the indoor go kart speedway where he spent his summer and winter breaks working part time as a race marshal

 

Zachary Komassa

Zach is a senior at UWM majoring in English Track G – Professional and Technical Communications. This is his first semester working in the nonprof-IT program, contributing to creating a website for the Sojourner Family Peace Center. Despite being an English major, Zach has had experience in undergraduate research since he was a Freshman and currently leads an undergraduate astrophysics research group. Zach is also currently interning with the IT Department at Foxconn. He is hoping to gain more experience in the IT field and in technical communication through Nonprof-IT this semester. Anna is currently a sophomore here at UWM. Breyley was a home schooled student that transitioned into the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee who is now a sophomore studying Information Science and Technology. His aspirations are to be successful in the IT field and gain more hands on experience through his Nonprof-IT internship. He currently works for the university as a Tech-Repair Technician with responsibilities including diagnostics, repairs, effective communication, and efficiency. Bailly Jamroz

Bailly is a junior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology. She will be working with the Ronald McDonald House and Arts@Large this semester, aiding both in social media and video production work. Bailly earned her Associate’s degree in IT in 2015 from Redlands Community College, and has some experience in Web Development, assisting in developing an interactive user manual for AAR Corporation out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In her free time, she likes to shoot 35mm film photography, play video games, and spend time with friends, family, and especially with her dog, Eric. This is her first semester in Nonprof-it and she is eager to work alongside her colleagues in developing something great for two organizations that give back to our city daily.

 

Joseph Kiesau

Joey is a sophomore at UWM. This is his first year working with NonprofIT. He played college baseball his freshman year at Rock Valley College, in Rockford Illinois, while majoring in nursing. When he transferred over to Milwaukee he switched degrees from nursing to IST. He was really interested in what the major had to offer involving the use of technology and the careers you can go into with the degree. He wants to learn more about IST and gain more experience within it as well. He work’s at the East Castle Place nursing home as a server and my hobbies include lifting, running, playing basketball, and writing.

Sujeeth is a Senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and he is majoring in Information of Science and Technology and minoring in Computer Science. Colby Wilkerson is a senior in the Design and Visual Communications program and this will be his second time working with the Nonprof-IT program. He plans to share his keen sense of art and design to help the team bring strong sense of visual components to the nonprofits they will be working with. Colby plans to take the new skills he will learn while working with the ITS majors on his team to help him enter the field of UI/UX Design in the future.

Kelly Davenport is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, majoring in Design and Visual Communications as well Journalism, Advertising/PR & Media Studies. She currently works as a marketing intern for the Milwaukee Bucks and as a social media coordinator for the National MS Society. Austin TAustin is currently a Junior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and is majoring in Information Science and Technology. He look’s to gain real world experience and put what he’s learned so far to use. His end goal after graduation is to open his own Information Technology consultant firm. Luis is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is currently majoring in Information Science and Technology. His end goal is to end up working on the security side of IT. Chris is a senior at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He has been working in the IT field 2 to 3 years in fields of data science and web development. Michael Sesini

Michael is currently a JAMS major concentrating in advertising and public relations expecting to graduate in December 2018. Last semester, he was recognized by the Phi Beta Kappa honors society and was invited to join their prestigious network. Michael’s professional aspirations reside with new media art and entertainment, especially short-form videography. Michael also is passionately involved with multiple online gaming communities and related social media channels and hopes to build an online community while pursuing entrepreneurial work in the future.

 

Yang Cheng

Yang is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in English. He will be working with Economics Wisconsin and the Aids Resource Center of Wisconsin to revamp their social media presence this semester. Giamo Rivera

Giamo is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he is continuing his education in Information Science and Technology after graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associate’s degree in IT Networking. He currently works in the IT field performing tasks such a hardware repair and help desk support. This is his first semester in the nonprof-IT program and is working alongside “Eastside Senior Services” to update their current technologies to accommodate for their needs. He hopes he can learn from this experience and apply it to future endeavors.

 

Ishwarya Korrapolu

Ishwarya is a senior majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. This is her first semester in the nonprofit-IT program. She is working with Eastside Senior Services company and is hoping to gain skills in UI design by redeveloping their website and is also working on databases. She is hoping to learn about team work and real world experience from this opportunity. In her free time, Ishwarya enjoys outdoor activities, travelling and watching movies.

 

Colby Wilkerson

Colby Wilkerson is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, majoring in Design and Visual Communications. This is his first semester working with the nonprof-IT program, however is excited to bring his graphic design background to aid in the work of the other Information Studies students on their project. He will be working with Eastside Senior Services in creating an updated website and various other design elements required by the organization.

Zach Price

Zach is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. He works as the primary web developer for the School of Information Studies as well as a Student Technician. This is his second semester in the nonprof-IT program, this time as a Team Lead. He hopes to gain skills in UI/UX design and Product Management from this internship. When not in school Zach enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and exploring Milwaukee.

 

Alex Peck

Currently a senior at UW-Milwaukee pursuing a degree in Information Sciences and Technology. A lifelong learner who always is looking to improve his skill set and bring a positive outlook to any given situation. After obtaining an Associate’s Degree from (MATC) Milwaukee Area Technical College’s IT Network Specialist program, decided to further his education at UW-Milwaukee to develop higher level skills. He hopes to use this opportunity of being accepted in the Non-Prof IT program, to grow as a professional in the IT sector by making new connections.

 

Katy Hartman

Katie is in her second year at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she is majoring in Information Science and Technology. She plans on expanding her field of study by minoring in Computer Science. This is her first semester as an intern for Nonprof-IT. She is excited to work with Fondy’s Food Center because it will give her experience working in a team environment while developing necessary IT skills. Samantha Solis is a first-generation student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is currently a Junior majoring in Information Science and Technology and minoring in Linguistics. Kevin Rediske

Kevin is a senior at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he is majoring in Information Science and Technology. When he is not tinkering with his computer he enjoys getting coffee, back packing, camping, running and playing his violin. His interests in the technological world deals with networking and security. This is his first time in the Nonprof-IT internship program and he will be working with Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful. Vanessa is a Senior majoring in Information Science and Technology and currently works as a Web Developer in UWM’s Engineering Department. This is Sai Jayanth Chittajallu and he goes by Sai. he is a junior at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, coming from Bangalore, India. He is majoring in Information Science and Technology along with where he is working as a Project Coordinator with UWM UITS department Project Management Office. This is his first semester in NonProf-IT program and he is on the team working with Keep Greater Milwaukee. He is very excited to gain knowledge and learn hand on experience. Madeline is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is majoring in Information Science and Technology. She has some experience with web design from interning over the summer. Matthew Schubring

Matthew is a senior at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. He works part time as a Programmer Analyst Intern at Fidelity Information Services (FIS). This is his first semester in the nonprof-IT program, and he is working as the Team Lead to build a new website for the Ko-Thi Dance Company in Milwaukee, WI. From this internship he hopes to build project organization and management skills while gaining field experience working with clients on a project. When not in school Matthew enjoys coaching gymnastics, camping, rock climbing, and playing tabletop games.

 

Stephen Wagstaff

Stephen is a senior majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Computer Science. He currently works for FIS as a programmer analyst. During the summer he races bicycles competitively with the Project Echelon Cycling Team, an elite cycling team that is partnered with the Project Echelon nonprofit to help veterans recover from mental illness through physical engagement. In his free time he enjoys traveling to big cities and enjoying the delicious food they hold or reading about new software technologies and development methodologies .

 

Mason Drenski

Mason is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Music. This is his first semester in the Nonprof-IT program, and he is working with the Ko-Thi Dance Company. Mason looks forward to learning new skills while gaining real-world client experience and making a positive impact on the local community. Kristine is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. This is her first semester in the Nonprof-IT program, and she is on the team working on the redesign of the MACIC website. She hopes to gain skills in web design and project management. In her free time, Kristine enjoys pub trivia, gaming, and cooking.

 

Shayla Kirby

Shayla is a senior at UWM majoring in Information of Science and Technology. She has studied abroad in Japan and wishes to start a career in Japan as a web designer. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, studying foreign languages and also studying programming languages such as Java, Python, HTML and CSS.

 

Justin Cogswell

Justin is currently a Senior at UW-Milwaukee majoring in information Science and Technology while also working towards a minor in computer science to expand my coding horizons. This is my first semester being apart of non-profit IT online team. I went to college right after finishing from Milwaukee Riverside High School High the following fall semester. have not stopped my education because I do not want to realize in the future that I wasted my time. I am excited to meet and work with new people and see how they problem solve. I have lived, worked and remain in Milwaukee my entire life. When I am not doing school work I enjoy to do variety of physical activities. When it is nice outside like to get pickup games of soccer, skateboard or when it is really hot outside, go for a dive into Lake Michigan.

I am a sophomore at UWM majoring in Information Technology and minoring in Business. My interest is in security. This is my first semester in Nonprof-IT and I am excited in gaining knowledge and experience through this internship. Izaac Nguyen

Izaac is a senior in the process of finishing a Bachelors in Information Science and Technology, and a Minor in Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He works a couple of part time jobs currently. He is a Lighting Technician at Van Rixel Productions, and is a contractor for Pelican Bay LLC renovating houses. This is my first time being a part of Nonprof-IT. I am a Student Lead with a small team working with The Parenting Network building a new website, and branding their social media pages. It works well for a future career in Project management which is his goal. Some of Izaac’s hobbies are long boarding, taking long walks, traveling, seeing live music, and finding new music to enjoy.

 

Austin Honeycutt

Austin is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science & Technology and minoring in Computer Science. He is currently working at Northwestern Mutual as a Support Engineer, and he’s excited to use his development and engineering skills to help out The Parenting Network during his first semester in Nonprof-IT. Drew is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee majoring in Information Science & Technology. This is his first semester in Nonprof-IT where he is working with The Parenting Network to assist in the redesign of their new website. Along with a more intuitive website, he will assist in video creation for the organization’s YouTube channel. Drew hopes this professional experience will aid in his overall IT knowledge and assist for a worthy cause.

Lien is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology with a certificate in Healthcare Informatics. This is her first semester in the Nonprof-IT program and her group is currently working with The Parenting Network to perfect their website and kickstart their YouTube channel. She is a barista at Starbucks, works at The Princeton Club in New Berlin, and does photography on the side. When he is not at the keyboard, John enjoys running, and reading. He also likes to get outside and go canoeing whenever he gets the chance. This semester, John will be part of a team that is redesigning the website for the Menomonee Valley Partners.

Sara is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who is coming from Belgrade, Serbia. She is majoring in Information Science and Technology with a minor in Computer Science and a certificate in Web Development. Emily Bahling

Emily is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee double majoring in Information Science and Technology and Digital Arts and Cultures with a minor in psychology. She is working with Metcalfe Park Community Bridges for her second semester in the Nonprof-IT internship program. Her interest is gaining UX/UI design and web development experience through this internship. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time at the lake in Hayward, WI and flying to Portland, OR to hike.

 

Daniel Zambrano

I want to merge my business and technology skills, so that I can be an asset to any team in any industry. I am pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Science & Technology with a Computer Science minor. Outside of class, I am a digital marketing consultant for local businesses, I use my technology and business experience to get results. I look forward to developing a great website with my team for Metcalfe Park Community Bridges. My ultimate goal is to develop a mobile application in the future.

Jamie is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. In May 2018, he will graduate with Honors and pursue opportunities within the Web Development field. Jamie is also a dedicated IST tutor at the School of Information Studies where he enjoys working with students in solving web related issues. Michael Phillips

Hello, I’m Mike Philipps a Senior currently attending the University of Milwaukee. I have transferred to UWM from UW Eau Claire where I am looking to complete a degree in IST(Information System and Technology). I have taken a wide variety of classes for programming having a bit of exposure to most languages. I am looking forward to gaining more experience from Non-ProfIT adding it to my experience as I start my career. In my free time I like to head to the gym, go out with friends, and play games on my desktop I built at home.

 

Kelby Fritz

A Senior at UWM, Kelby is an IST major, working towards also completing his DAC (Digital Arts and Culture) certificate. Kelby is excited to be able to work with Friends of Lakeshore State Park and has past experience in web design working at the Student Affair IT Services on campus. There he helps the Military and Veterans Resource Center and their website, he has also designed mockups for the LGBT Resource Center. Kelby believes that Non-ProfIT will help by adding to his experience and providing another item that he will be able to add to his portfolio. In his leisure time Kelby enjoys kicking butt in Mario Kart, going to the gym and spending time with friends.

Andrew McLaughlin

I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where I am majoring in Information Science & Technology, and I am minoring in Criminal Justice. Along side my Criminal Justice minor, I am also finishing up a Certificate of Crime Analysis. I look forward to using this experience from Non Prof-IT to get a better understanding of developing a web space for a client and working within a team. Lauren Trotter

Lauren is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee double majoring in Information Science & Technology and Digital Arts & Culture with a certificate in Web Development. Sam is a senior in the School of Information Studies (SOIS) at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (UWM). He’s majoring in Information Science & Technology and is finishing up his B.S. degree. This is his first semester working with the Nonprof-IT program at UWM, and his team will be working with two organizations: Express Yourself Milwaukee and Still Waters Collective. Mike Holtzman

Michael is a senior at UWM majoring in Information Science & Technology. He is working to become a front-end developer with a concentration of user interface design. Michael will be working on a team to build a website for the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic, and he is eager to contribute in the redesign of the Non-Profit Organization. Michael will focus on creating a clean, responsive design while adding new functionality. In his free time Michael studies kitchen and bath design and loves playing basketball.

I am a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am majoring in IST and minoring in Computer Science. This is my first time in nonprof-IT internship and I will be working with Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic. I am looking forward to interacting with our client to gain real-world experience and building team work skills. Dan Bort

Dan is a junior at UWM majoring in Information Science and Technology. This is his first semester working with the Nonprof-IT program and he is excited to get to work with the Eisenhower Center and the Lutheran Counseling & Family Support Services of Wisconsin. Dan resides in Milwaukee but takes most of his classes online for ease of scheduling. He is married with two sons, ages 11 and 6. Dan spends most of his free time volunteering around his son’s school or coaching his oldest son’s track team.

Hey guys! My name is Noah and I am an IST major here at UWM. This is also my first time in the nonprof-IT program. I am originally from Gurnee, IL and hope to eventually move back to Chicago after graduation this semester. I have a very diverse work history since my dad owns his own digital signage company and has had me doing a bit of everything since I was young. I am very excited to be a part of this program because this will be the first time I will be working with my own client that I have to figure out how to accommodate. I spend my spare time with my friends, usually playing video games or something outside if it’s nice. I also love to play tennis so I am always looking for someone to hit with!

 

Grandmothers Beyond Borders Online Team

Shayna Koudelka

A senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology. This is my first time with nonprof-IT as the team lead working on the website redesign for the Grandmothers Beyond Borders organization. I look forward to further developing my tech skills and having the opportunity to work with a great local nonprofit organization. In my free time I enjoy reading, learning new tech skills, and traveling while experiencing new cultures.

 

Roger Canfield

Roger is a UWM Undergraduate student majoring in Information Science and Technology. He will be graduating at the end of this semester. Roger also works full-time for Conduent. He is excited to put what he has learned to use while working with nonprof-IT. Along with his major, he has a certificate in Digital Arts and Culture. This will help a lot, when design issues come up in the project. This will be the second client he has worked on a website for, and he is eager to see where this project goes.

Aaron is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Information Science and Technology. This is his first semester in the nonprofit-IT program. Marsurice DeVan

Hello, my name is Marsurice DeVan I am Junior at UWM. I’ve had a love for designing websites since my freshman year in high school. I have done free-lance work in the past in addition to working at a small web development company that designed web sites for small local businesses. I am working on my BSIST as well as a certificate in Web Development and Healthcare Informatics. This is my second semester in the Nonprof-IT program. At the end of my first internship with Nonprof-IT, I was lucky enough to receive a contract with the nonprofit I worked with and I am now working with their local chapter as well as national organization in web design as well as social media, and various other designs. I’m very excited to see what fortunes this go around will bring.
