SUMMARY:SOIS Student Research Day: Call For Proposals
DESCRIPTION:Submit your research projects\, research papers\, software applications\, or research proposals for the SOIS Research Day! \nSOIS undergraduate\, masters\, and doctoral students are invited to showcase their work by participating in the 2023 Annual Student Research Day. Participation will be based on students’ course projects or professional work. Presentations may be on any topic germane to information studies and may draw on any research methodology. Students whose paper proposals are accepted will be allotted 15-minutes to present their topic. The presentation can be a PowerPoint\, a poster\, a demonstration\, a pre-made video\, a text document\, or other formats chosen by the students. Group projects are welcome. Presentations will be live-streamed. Distance students are encouraged to submit their work. \nSubmission requirements: Students interested in participating must submit a proposal (Word or pdf file) that includes the following: \n\nAuthor name(s) and email address(es)\nUndergraduate or graduate student status\nType of project: PowerPoint\, poster\, demonstration\, video\, text\, or other\nTitle of the project\nAbstract of the research project (maximum 500 words)\n\nSubmit your proposals online>>\nProposals will be reviewed by members of the Research Committee and notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 17\, 2023. \nSubmission Deadline: March 3\, 2023\n\nNotification of Acceptance: March 17\, 2023 \nStudent Research Day: April 21\, 2023\n\nEmail questions to:\nDr. Simon Mu (mux@uwm.edu)\nChairperson of the SOIS Research Committee
