Some examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Getting quick answers to questions&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating outlines for ideas or proposals&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rephrasing content for clarification&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brainstorming for projects, papers, or presentations&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please note: This information regards the version of Microsoft Copilot Chat that is offered through your UWM Microsoft 365 account. Be sure to login using the resources below to access the correct version of Copilot Chat.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-using-copilot-chat\">Using Copilot Chat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When logging into Microsoft 365 on the web, Copilot Chat will be listed&nbsp;as an option\/application&nbsp;on the landing page. You can&nbsp;also&nbsp;access it directly through this link:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/m365.cloud.microsoft\/chat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/m365.cloud.microsoft\/chat.<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accessing Copilot Chat directly through your UWM Microsoft 365 account is the University supported and safe way to&nbsp;utilize&nbsp;the tool. This AI tool offers stronger data protection than other free AI tools. This means that prompts and responses fall under Microsoft\u2019s enterprise data protection which runs regular safety checks and encrypts your data. This is the only version of Copilot Chat where you can safely&nbsp;utilize&nbsp;University data.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UWM has an agreement with Microsoft that provides&nbsp;additional&nbsp;legal and technical protections that the free version does not.&nbsp;As such, UWM employees are allowed to use certain types of data with this version of Copilot Chat.&nbsp;UWM\u2019s guidance on this is based on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/uw-policies\/uw-system-administrative-policies\/information-security-data-classification-and-protection\/data-classification-examples\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UW System Policy 1031<\/a>&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;data classification.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is a content-based AI assistant and is available to all UWM students,&nbsp;faculty&nbsp;and staff.&nbsp;&nbsp; What is Copilot Chat for?&nbsp; This tool can be used for a large variety of tasks.
