A pop-up will appear asking you to select a justification for why you are removing the label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\" id=\"h-i-shared-a-document-with-an-external-user-and-they-are-unable-to-open-it-what-should-i-do\">I Shared a Document With an External User, and They Are Unable To Open It. What Should I Do?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If a document has been incorrectly labeled or you determine there is no risk in sharing the document with an external user, you can navigate to the sensitivity section in the toolbar and remove the sensitivity label. You will be asked to provide a justification for removing the label.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the external user as a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/80602\">guest member<\/a>&nbsp;to a Microsoft Team or Outlook Group and then share the labeled file with them. Once the external user is a guest in a Team or Group, labeled files can be shared to them via the Team\/Group or via OneDrive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a document is labeled as restricted, external users will not be able to access it. You will need to re-label the document as sensitive or remove the label.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\" id=\"h-how-long-does-it-take-for-the-system-to-detect-sensitive-information-in-a-document-and-auto-label-it\">How Long Does It Take for the System To Detect Sensitive Information in a Document and Auto Label It?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The time it takes to auto label a document varies. We have found in testing that sensitive information is usually detected in a matter of seconds in the Word desktop client or Word online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\" id=\"h-i-am-an-external-user-that-is-a-member-of-a-uwm-team-can-i-still-access-the-content-labeled-as-sensitive-or-restricted\">I Am an External User That Is a Member of a UWM Team. Can I Still Access the Content Labeled As Sensitive or Restricted?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>External guest members in Teams can access content labeled as sensitive.
