As another semester ends at UWM, many students may be looking for work and scammers see this as a great opportunity. If you receive an email with a job offer, here are some things to look out for that may be clues to a scam:
- Too good to be true opportunity/promising language
- Bad grammar
- Urgent recruitment
- Unsolicited job offers
Always be skeptical of an unsolicited job offer. Read the email carefully and be cautious when clicking on links or filling out forms. If you are unsure if the job offer is legit, you can always contact the UWM Help Desk for assistance in verifying.
