Slash commands are shortcuts for performing common tasks in the web and desktop versions of Teams. Some of the actions you can take using commands include:
- Updating your status
- Going to a specific channel
- Showing your recent files
- Finding saved messages
- And more
To use a slash command in Teams,
- Open one of your Teams chats or click in the search box at the top of your Teams window.
- In the composition box, type a back slash “/”.
- After that, you’ll see a menu of commands.
- Select the desired command with your mouse or type it out and press Enter.
