This earth week the IEC is hosting the Earth Week Art Show to bring attention to the mass production of waste that heavily pollutes our oceans, environments and lives.

By utilizing  “waste” or recycled materials to create beautiful, meaningful or confrontational work we hope to keep this conversation going and inspire UWM campus to think about all they consume and how they can re-use what they have.

-Must be a UWM student to apply
-Use what you have and have fun!
-The purpose of this project is to re-use so look around and be creative!
-We would prefer sculptural pieces, but if you are looking to create a flat piece we can accommodate for that.
-You can incorporate other mediums into this project (painting/drawing/etc.) but the piece must incorporate the use of recycled materials.

**Not all projects submitted will be exhibited in the showcase**
-The showcase can only exhibit around 20 pieces due to the space we are given
-The Inclusive Excellence Center team will be picking the pieces that we feel would work the best in the exhibition.
-The chosen pieces will be exhibited during the Monday of Earth Week, April 22  from 10 am – 1pm in the Union Concourse alongside the Farmer’s Market.
-During the exhibition is when voting will take place and students and faculty can vote on their favorite piece.
-The work with the most votes by1:00 P.M. will receive the $200

 Submission Deadline: April 15
-Please email and in the subject line put: Earth Week Art Show Submission and submit an image of the completed project along with a project description and how you would like the work to be exhibited during the showcase.
