SUMMARY:Shining the Light on What Works
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in exploring opportunities to learn more about effectively adapting evidence-based interventions? Being able to thoughtfully adapt evidence-based interventions is essential to being able to meet the complex needs of children and families. \nPlease join UWM Associate Professor and Institute for Child and Family Well-Being Co-founder Dr. Dimitri Topitzes on Thursday\, August 23\, for a presentation and discussion on implementation science and its role in practice with families coping with complex trauma. Our discussion will focus on how ICFW team members implement Parent-Child Interaction Therapy in In-Home settings with families involved in child welfare. \nRegister for this free event here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/shining-the-light-on-what-works-tickets-48340910966 \nThis discussion is the third in a series related to the ICFW Trauma and Recovery Project\, a collaboration with the State of Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and Office of Children’s Mental Health. Networking will take place from 12:30-1:00. The presentation will begin promptly at 1:00pm. A Q&A Session with Dr. Topitzes and ICFW PCIT and TF-CBT Clinicians will follow the presentation.
