Myra Werner, CAPSW

TF-CBT Practitioner

Myra Werner is a TF-CBT Practitioner with the well-being team at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services and the Institute for Child and Family Well-Being. She is a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW) working toward her clinical licensure (LCSW).

Myra began working with the well-being team during her clinical master of social work internship from January 2016-May 2017, and returned to the team in 2018. She is passionate about integrating evidence-based interventions in her practice including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) with youth and their caregivers. Before rejoining the well-being team, Myra was a treatment foster care case manager working with foster youth in Wisconsin.

Myra earned her master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2017. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and sociology from Marquette University.
