Jennifer Scott, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor of Well-Being Team

Jennifer is the clinical supervisor of the well-being team with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Prior to joining the well-being team, Jennifer was a psychotherapist in the Psychiatry Department of CHW for four and a half years. In addition to her work in the psychiatry clinic, she provided therapy and consultation services at Pierce Elementary School (MPS) through CHW Community Services and the School Community Partnership for Mental Health.

Though Jennifer tailors her therapy methods to individual children and families, evidence-based treatment models are her “go-to” methods, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2010.

Jennifer’s background includes: Treatment foster care; providing therapy in residential settings; providing specialized therapy services for survivors of sexual abuse and adjudicated youth charged with sexual offenses; school social work. She is passionate about reducing mental health stigma and providing evidence-based care, particularly to underprivileged and underrepresented populations. She anticipates TF-CBT certification, PCIT certification and Wisconsin DPI school social worker certification in 2018.

Jennifer earned her master's degree in social work and her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
