There is no need for official transcripts or academic records for initial review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are admitted, the Graduate School will request official copies of your transcripts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-statement-of-reasons-for-graduate-study\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Statement of Reasons for Graduate Study<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An essential part of your application, this is used to determine the appropriateness of your educational and professional goals and serves as an example of your ability to express yourself in writing. In the statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>explain your reasons for pursing graduate study;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>describe specific interests and your background in the field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list any relevant skills or training your have acquired;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list relevant academic awards or honors you have received; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list the names of individuals who will send recommendations on your behalf.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-application-fee\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Fee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A $75 base application fee is required of all applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-test-scores\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Test Scores<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GRE or GMAT is recommended but not required for admission. If you have taken either test in the past five years, we encourage you to provide us with your scores. Your results will be considered as supplemental academic information and may help strengthen your application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>GRE \u2013 Institution Code 1473, Dept. Code 4204<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GMAT \u2013 Institution Code 1896<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-letters-of-recommendation\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Letters of Recommendation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We require two professional or academic references from people who know your ability to perform graduate level work and\/or your commitment to and interest in human resource management and labor relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please use the online system for letters of recommendation through the University\u2019s application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-international-students-language-requirements\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Students \u2013 Language Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you did not receive your undergraduate degree from an institution where English is the primary method of instruction, we require TOEFL scores. The minimum score requirement for admission is a score equivalent to the internet based TOEFL test score of 80 or above with section scores of at least 20 on all four sections (Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-prerequisite-courses\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisite Courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MHRLR Program has two prerequisite courses:&nbsp;<strong>Principles of Microeconomics<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Introductory Statistics<\/strong>.
