There are multiple performance processes that follow the employee\u2019s life cycle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col uwm-l-col--4 uwm-l-offset--1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-row\">\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-performance-evaluation-types-in-workday\">Performance Evaluation Types in Workday<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following evaluation types are included in Workday. These are utilized for University Staff (ongoing and project), Non-Instructional Academic Staff, and Limited Appointees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"uwm-c-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Type<\/th><th>Description<\/th><th>When Launched<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>New Employee Goals and Expectations<\/td><td>Confirm\/update job responsibilities and expectations.<br><br>Establish goals for the first six months of employment.<\/td><td>Launched within first 30 days of employment.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Probation Final Evaluation<\/td><td>Assess performance of responsibilities and goal progress within first six months.<br><br>Determine if standards have been met to pass probation.<\/td><td>Launched prior to end of probationary period or within 6 months of employee\u2019s start date.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Annual Evaluation<\/td><td>Annual review of performance expectations and goals.<br><br>Establish goals for upcoming year.<\/td><td>Launched July 1 for the prior Fiscal Year (July 1 to June 30). Due September 30.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ad-hoc\/Limited Use Evaluation<\/td><td>Utilized to document performance for Temporary University Staff\/Academic Staff (less than one year), Employees-in-Training, and Student Assistants.<\/td><td>Can be launched up to once a year by an HR Business Partner.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col uwm-l-col--4 uwm-l-offset--1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-row\">\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-annual-probationary-evaluation-workflow\">Annual\/Probationary Evaluation Workflow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once launched, the Annual and Probationary Evaluations follow the same workflow in Workday. The Probationary Evaluation will be launched by the HR Business Partner. This feedback will be included in the annual evaluation.
