This is an annual opportunity for benefits eligible employees to enroll in or make changes to most benefits for the upcoming calendar year. Benefits Open Enrollment is the only time employees are eligible to make changes without a qualifying life event, such as a family or employment status change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h4\" id=\"h-changes-made-during-open-enrollment-will-be-effective-january-1-2026\">Changes made during open enrollment will be effective January 1, 2026.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During the open enrollment period eligible employees may elect to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enroll in coverage if currently uninsured<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change health plans or other covered plans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change the level of coverage (i.e. Single to family)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancel coverage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>2026 benefits information is summarized on the Universities of Wisconsin Open Enrollment website. This is a one-time registration process that you must complete prior to enrolling in your benefits. For instructions, review <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.wisconsin.edu\/workday\/internal\/149907\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Set Up Account in My Benefits<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log into <a href=\"http:\/\/myworkday.wisconsin.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Workday<\/a> then go to Menu &gt; Personal &gt; Benefits and Pay &gt; Suggested Links &gt; My Insurance Benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log into My Insurance Benefits using your My Benefits credentials. Then, review your current benefits\/dependents and enroll for the 2026 plan year (October 6 \u2014 October 31, 2025, 4:30 P.M.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you add your spouse or dependent children to your benefits, when you enroll, you may be required to provide their full name, Social Security Number, date of birth, and documentation (marriage certificate for your spouse or birth certificates for your dependent children).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"has-alpha-channel-opacity uwm-c-hr--thick\" \/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-row\">\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-other-considerations-and-reminders\">Other Considerations and Reminders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wisconsin Retirement System: Employee and employer contributions to the WRS will increase to 7.2% for most employees effective January 1, 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State Group Life Insurance: Employee coverage premium will increase 5% for most age groups effective April 1, 2026.
