As you begin planning for retirement, please refer to the Retirement Checklist<\/a>, which outlines key considerations and recommended timeframes for completing each step. The UWM Benefits office recommends meeting with your benefits specialist 5-6 months before your retirement date to review and prepare for the transition of your health benefits into retirement. Contact the Benefits Office (benefits@uwm.edu) to schedule a time to discuss your retirement plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Universities of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) also provide various online resources to help you plan for your retirement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
