THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED–Newlyweds Corie, a free spirit, and Paul Bratter, an uptight lawyer, share a sixth-floor apartment in Greenwich Village. Soon after their marriage, Corie tries to find a companion for mother, Ethel, who is now alone and sets her up on a date with their eccentric neighbor Victor Velasco. Inappropriate behavior on the double date causes conflict between the newlyweds, and the young couple loudly considers divorce. Eventually, each character discovers that they may have more in common than they once thought.
