Undergraduate Researchers, SURF, Honors College, McNair Scholars – this session was designed for you! 

Join us for ice cream, JonnyPops and other frozen treats at this afternoon session that will highlight tools and specialized filters within the Web of Science database that can save you time and effort and help you to find your scholarly community. Topics include:

o   How does Web of Science fit into the larger research landscape?

o   What is citation indexing?

o   Tips for effective topic searching

o   Finding your research advisor’s work in Web of Science

o   Setting up search alerts to stay up to date on a topic

o   Kopernio: browser plug-in for one-click access to research articles

o   Identifying key players and centers of excellence in a research area (think Graduate School!)
