There has been a growing demand by nonprofit executives for opportunities to develop stronger ties with other leaders and establish a network of peers to confide in, depend on, support, and grow with. The Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management offers Wisconsin nonprofit executive directors a unique coaching and learning network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Nonprofit Leadership Circles<\/strong> program facilitates discussions, peer coaching, mentoring, support, resources, and relationships. It will give nonprofit leaders the extra support they need to address the challenging issues they face regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on an internationally known process called Action Learning, each Nonprofit Leadership Circle comprises 6-10 nonprofit leaders committed to supporting one another. A trained and experienced facilitator helps participants identify goals and resolve individual challenges using the Circle. Discussions in the circles are confidential, supportive, and focused on learning and action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants typically meet once a month to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Share insights and materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support and challenge each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and keep action plans on track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonprofit Leadership Circles aim to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focuses on the needs of nonprofit Executive Directors, Emerging Leaders, and HR Managers, supporting the top-level oversight of nonprofit organizations of various sizes and missions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build relationships among leaders who may not always have the opportunity to work together and reduce feelings of isolation and \u201cloneliness at the top.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote emotional and moral support uniquely found in a safe and confidential setting with emphatic peers and provide a greater depth of learning through resonance and reflections from the peer group members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide an opportunity for information and resource sharing, professional development, and skill-building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster leadership development by providing a structure for pursuing goals that include accountability and expanding learning resources via peer group members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap wisdom from each other\u2019s experiences and expertise rather than outside experts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coaches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/anita-rodriguez-cordero-sphr-mba-6a518314\/\">Anita Rodriguez Cordero, SPHR, MBA<\/a>, Learning &amp; Development Manager, MRA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/christel-wendelberger-6586823\/\">Christel Wendelberger<\/a>, Founder, Forward Communications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Format<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like other Leadership Circle programs, participants will meet monthly in groups of 6-10, facilitated by an experienced coach, for nine months throughout the year (September \u2013 May). Circle participants complete a brief application to help match them with a cohort of leaders with similar leadership responsibilities and life and work experiences. The number of Circles convened will be based on the total completed registrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An annual membership fee of $450\/year per participant is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-register-now\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/helen-bader-institute-nonprofit-management\/community-initiatives\/nonprofit-leadership-circles\/lc-application\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/helen-bader-institute-nonprofit-management\/community-initiatives\/nonprofit-leadership-circles\/lc-application\/\">Register Now<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Registration will be available June 1 &#8211; Aug 1, 2026.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-past-member-organizations\">Past Member Organizations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adaptive Community Approach Program, Inc.
