The UW-Milwaukee Lyme Borreliosis Laboratory studies the pathogenesis of Lyme borreliosis, caused by infection with the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. Our current research focuses on the role of T cells and B cells throughout the course of Lyme arthritis and B. burgdorferi infection.
