UWM Food Pantry receives award

The UWM Food Center and Pantry received the Regents’ Diversity Award in the team category for its efforts to address food insecurity on campus. The award recognizes programs that improve access and success on campus, particularly for historically underrepresented student populations. UWM Nutritional Sciences alum, Kelly Braun, is a member of the Food Center & Pantry Executive Committee, and Nutritional Sciences students are often volunteers at the pantry. Since the pantry opened in the spring semester of 2018, it has served more than 500 students.
