Research Training Grant awarded

Associate Professor Jay Kapellusch, PhD, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow Ruoliang Tang received $16,525 in funding from the University of Michigan Center for Occupational Safety and Health Engineering. The goal of their project is to conduct an objective survey of jobs involving one-handed lifting and offer comprehensive descriptions of the associated job’s physical exposure. This CDC Pilot Project Research Training Grant Program sub-award, being carried out under the mentorship of Kapellusch, will provide Tang the technical training in ergonomics and occupational epidemiology, and help develop his research skills as an independent researcher and investigator.
