OT alumn gets large grant

College alumn, Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy Andrew Persch, PhD, OTR/L, BCP, at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, is the Project Leader on a R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health from the administering institute, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development. The $621,133 grant is for “Vocational Fit Assessment and Employment Status in People with Intellectual Disabilities.”

Persch has led multiple research projects in the areas of pediatric rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation and transition to adulthood. He graduated from UWM with a BS in Occupational Therapy in 2005 and an MS in OT in 2007. He earned his PhD in 2014 from The Ohio State University.
