Faculty members present at national conference

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders was well represented by faculty and students at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention held November 15-17th in Boston.

Seminar presenters included Associate Professor John Heilmann, PhD, CCC-SLP, with an outside collaborator, on “The Evolution of Descriptive Assessments for Older Students: Evaluation of Expository and Persuasive Discourse.” Associate Professor Shelley K. Lund, PhD, CCC-SLP, was part of a team that presented “Augmentative and Alternative Communication Clinical Assessment Project: Protocol for Assessment of Children with Cerebral Palsy.” Lund also collaborated on “Augmentative and Alternative Communication Clinical Assessment Project: Protocol for Assessment of Individuals with ALS.”
