Exciting new partnership with UWM Children’s Learning Center

Colleagues from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) spearheaded a new partnership with the UWM Children’s Learning Center located in the Northwest Quad. Clinical Associate Professor Joyce King-McIver, PhD, CCC-SLP, and Clinical Assistant Professor Bethanne Mazurczak, MS, CCC-SLP, C-NDT, worked together with the center’s director and the staff to arrange for therapy services for the children. Children can receive free early screenings to help identify possible issues, and then they are able to benefit from intervention opportunities. CSD graduate student clinicians are paired with the children and receive clinic hours necessary for graduation.
