CHS students create app that rates buildings based on accessibility

Professor Roger O. Smith, PhD, OT, FAOTA, RESNA Fellow, PhD Health Sciences student Mason Drake and MS Occupational Therapy student Anna McCartney were featured in a WTMJ interview about a new app that rates the accessibility of Milwaukee businesses. Smith, Drake, McCartney and a team of students are developing the app for people with physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities to use to understand different buildings’ levels of accessibility. They’re planning to get it up and running in time for the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee this summer.
