  • Biogeochemical cycling of carbon, nutrients and trace elements in aquatic systems
  • Role of natural organic matter in regulating the fate, transport and reactivity of chemical species
  • Size and chemical characterization of aquatic colloids and nanoparticles
  • Toxicity of crude oil and nanoparticles on aquatic organisms (Zebrafish)
  • Physicochemical processes at the soil-water, river-lake, and land-ocean interfaces
  • Biogeochemical consequences of climate and environmental change.
