  • Environmental fate of microplastics/microfibers and other emerging contaminants
  • Role of natural organic matter (DOM) in regulating the fate, transport and toxicity/bioavailability of toxic metals and emerging contaminants
  • Physicochemical processes at the soil-water, particle-water, river-lake, and land-ocean interfaces
  • Biogeochemical consequences of climate and environmental change.
