  • Biogeochemical cycling of carbon, nutrients and trace elements in aquatic systems.
  • Fate and transport of microplastics/nanoplastics and PFAS
  • Role of natural organic matter (NOM) in regulating the chemical/phase speciation and biogeochemical cycling of toxic metals and contaminants.
  • Physicochemical processes at soil-water, river-lake, and land-ocean interfaces
  • Biogeochemical response of Arctic rivers to climate and environmental change
