UWM Graduate Student Wellness Series

The UWM Graduate School organizes events, activities and seminars to help graduate students with a holistic approach to physical, mental, educational and financial wellness as they move successfully through degree milestones, acquire a variety of skills, and advance their opportunities.

Faculty and staff from units across campus contribute to this ongoing series, supporting graduate student wellness as they envision and pursue their own future, in and beyond the university. All students enrolled in a UWM graduate program (on campus and online) are invited to attend these events.

Fall 2021 Wellness opportunities

Yoga online with the Klotsche Center

Wednesday, Dec 15, 2021 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm via Microsoft Teams
This session is created in coordination with the Graduate School and the UWM’s Klotsche Center as part of the UWM Graduate Student Wellness Series and is intended for all students – on-campus and online!

Come and work on all parts of your body through flexibility, balance, and core strength while exploring your mental and physical wellness. This yoga class will compliment your movement and thinking throughout everyday life! Have your space clear, mat (or towel) ready and water nearby!

Budgeting Follow-up

Wednesday, February 16, 2022: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Presented as a part of the Graduate Student Wellness Series with UWM’s Financial Aid Office and UWM’s Graduate School and presented by Cynthia Reindl, M.S., Senior Financial Aid Advisor

This session is to serve as a follow-up to our fall session. Newcomers are still encouraged to come however! We will discuss more budgeting strategies, review your current budgeting process, and have open discussions for questions regarding budgeting/financial wellness. We highly recommend this session to those looking to learn more about budgeting.

Getting ready to graduate (financial perspective)

Wednesday, March 16, 2022: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Presented as a part of the Graduate Student Wellness Series with UWM’s Financial Aid Office and UWM’s Graduate School and presented by Cynthia Reindl, M.S., Senior Financial Aid Advisor

This session is catered to graduate students preparing to graduate. We will discuss payment plans, exit counseling, and myriad other topics. Preparing for graduation can be stressful, but we are here to assist in the process. Please come with any questions you may have regarding the above topics, and maybe even some curveballs regarding more circumstantial questions.
