UWM Graduate Student Wellness Series

UWM Graduate Student Wellness Series

The UWM Graduate School organizes events, activities and seminars to help graduate students with a holistic approach to physical, mental, educational and financial wellness as they move successfully through degree milestones, acquire a variety of skills, and advance their opportunities.

Faculty and staff from units across campus contribute to this ongoing series, supporting graduate student wellness as they envision and pursue their own future, in and beyond the university. All students enrolled in a UWM graduate program (on campus and online) are invited to attend these events.

What can Career Services do for UWM Graduate Students?

Wednesday, November 2nd @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Presented as a part of the Graduate Student Wellness Series by UWM’s Graduate School and the UWM Career Planning and Resource Center (CPaRC).

UWM graduate students may not realize how much the UWM Career Planning and Resource Center (CPaRC) has to offer, but this session will review services that benefit you both now – and in your next step after graduation.

Reviewing resumes and cover letters, career assessment and advising, assisting with job searches, and participating in career fairs is just the start.

Did you know that CPaRC offers free software services that helps you rehearse mock interviews and score your performance? Did you know that CPaRC offers access to GoinGlobal? GoinGlobal is custom-designed H-1B Plus database provides U.S. Department of Labor records for more than two million companies that have applied for H-1V visas from 2009 to-date. You can search records by industry, occupation, job title, company name, job location, fiscal year or wage. Learn this and much more in a 40-45 minute presentation with time for questions and answers with Associate Director of Career Counseling & Academic Partnerships, Lauren Lessac.
