UWM education alum awarded for outstanding research in adult education

UWM alumnus Kevin Roessger (MS in Administrative Leadership in Education, 2010; PhD in Urban Education, 2013) recently received the 2020 Imogene Okes Award for Outstanding Research in Adult Education by the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education.

An associate professor of Adult and Lifelong Learning at the University of Arkansas, Roessger was recognized as lead author of of the article, “Rethinking Andragogical Assumptions in the Global Age: How Preferences for Andragogical Learning Vary Across People and Cultures,” published earlier this year in the journal Studies in Continuing Education. A University of Arkansas doctoral student and a Texas A&M University faculty member were recognized as co-authors.

This annual, national award recognizes researchers who significantly contribute to the advancement of adult and continuing education.
