The Milwaukee Business Journal in May featured UWM architecture students’ designs in the 2022 urban design studio for the parking lots surrounding the Summerfest grounds, which are largely unused during the lakefront festival offseason.
“The students’ projects,” reporter Sean Ryan wrote, “offered both broader land-use plans for denser redevelopment of those lots, and more detailed design for public spaces and neighboring apartments, entertainment venues, or other uses.” The Business Journal published the slideshow a day after the students presented their projects at an open house May 10. The graduate students below are listed in the order their works appeared in the slideshow).
