Mark Harris
As Vice Provost, Dr. Harris supports the Provost by leading the Office of Research and the Graduate School. He works in collaboration with other members of the Provost’s staff, schools and colleges, and other campus units to advance the campus research and graduate education agendas.
Dr. Harris is a Professor of Geosciences in the College of Letters and Science. His research interests are carbonate sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy. He previously served as Department Chair, Associate Dean for the Natural Sciences in L&S, Associate Dean for Research in the Graduate School, Interim Dean of the School of Freshwater Sciences and the School of Information Studies. Currently he is also Interim Dean of the College of Health Sciences.
