The Greendale Village Board selected Michael Hawes (UWM MPA, Public Administration [Municipal Management]—2009) as the new Village Manager. They approved Mr. Hawes’ appointment as Village Manager at a special meeting on March 18th.

“The Board of Trustees conducted a nationwide search for our new Village Manager,” Village President Jason Cyborowski said. “Mr. Hawes competed with the other candidates and emerged as the best fit for Greendale. The Board is extremely pleased to be able to offer Mr. Hawes the position of Village Manager, and we look forward to working with him to move the Village of Greendale forward."

Hawes possesses 15 years of local government experience, including over eight years as municipal administrator for the Villages of Union Grove and Wind Point. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from UW-Milwaukee and is a credential manager through the International City Management Association (ICMA). Hawes currently resides in Kenosha with his wife Jacki, two-year old son Austin and two dogs.

“I am extremely excited to get to work with the Village Board, staff and community members of Greendale,” said Hawes. “Greendale is an outstanding community and I feel honored to serve as its next village manager.”
