The McNair Graduate Entrance Fellowship (MGEF) recognizes the exceptional scholarship and research background of McNair Scholars from across the country. In support of the path to the PhD, McNair Scholars who enroll full-time in a graduate degree program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) are eligible to receive a one-time $5,000 award in their first term of graduate studies. Only confirmed alumni of the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program are eligible to receive this award. This award can be accepted in addition to other fellowship/financial aid offers. Recipients will be connected to the McNair Scholars/Alumni campus community.

MGEF requirements and conditions include:

1. You must submit a signed TRIO McNair Application Fee Waiver form with your graduate school application to confirm your status as a current or past participant of McNair.
2. You must be admitted to a graduate degree program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Graduate School and begin your graduate degree enrollment in the Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 term, through full-time enrollment.
3. This award is non-transferrable and cannot be used as a reimbursement.
